Kids Drama Group in Hassocks
WELCOME TO HASSOCKS DRAMA COLLECTIVE
Kids Drama Group in Hassocks
Offering fun-filled drama tuition for children aged 6-10 to learn teamwork, build confidence, and much more!
By taking part in our weekly classes, children and young people of all abilities are able to find their own authentic voice while making friends, boosting focus, improving vocabulary, reading and diction – which are all just some of the many life-long communications skills that acting can help to explore and develop.

At Hassocks Drama Collective, we are passionate about providing high-quality and unforgettable performing arts experiences that inspire our members to reach their full potential. Furthermore, by participating in theatrical productions and developing an understanding of storylines, scripts and stagecraft etiquette; our members are able to manifest empathy and compassion as well as an appreciation of different perspectives.
Throughout our six week terms, our highly skilled, experienced and certified lead tutor – Mr Tim Rowland – nurtures a sense of pride and self-esteem in each of our members. Tim can also provide 1-2-1 tuition to help aspiring thespians prepare for performing arts exams and productions.
Through positive reinforcement, respect and teamwork, numerous invaluable life skills will be developed on and off-stage through a variety of carefully crafted acting techniques that encompass:
- method acting
- character development
- breathing techniques
- movement and interpretation
- voice exercises and vocal training
- creative thinking
- improvisation
- personal development
- mindfulness
By playing drama games and rehearsing scripted stage productions from different genres, all our members will have the chance to:
- be creative
- make friends and share interests
- learn authenticity
- connect with their emotions
- enjoy being spontaneous
- build confidence
- create wonderful memories
- express themselves
- boost concentration abilities
- enhance reading, vocabulary and diction skills
But most importantly, our classes are fun!
Any time spent learning will be enjoyable and engaging while inspiring and nurturing self-belief, individual talents and abilities.

Cost per student
We believe that the performing arts should be available to everyone to experience and try out themselves.
As such, we keep our rates exceptionally competitive so that more children may have a chance to access theatre and drama.
Each term costs £82.50 per member.
Please note that invoices are usually sent at least a week before the start of each term and payment is expected by the start of term.
Discretionary discounts may be available for multi-class, sibling and key worker discounts may be available.
To ensure our groups remain accessible, we may consider payment plans and a limited number of scholarships may be available.
