Be a champion for our community-orientated initiative!
Drama Collective is a professionally-led theatre production organisation, and we place inclusivity and community at the heart of everything that we do.
For more than a decade, our team has been entertaining audiences with full-scale stage shows each Winter and Summer. From traditional, modern to original scripts – the plays selected by Tim Rowland are sure to leave all who experience them with fond memories. Furthermore, for a number of years now we have spread joy even further by raising funds for our chosen charities, The Flying Seagull Project and The Starr Trust, through raffles at our productions.
Since the very beginning we have always done our best to create accessible and family-friendly theatre. Over the years, we have maintained lower than average ticket and membership prices and where possible, have offered keyworker discounts or bursaries to those who have fallen on hard times or are experiencing hardship. Even throughout the pandemic and without government funding or arts grants – we have kept the passion for the performing arts alight with our talented members.
Children, young people and adults of all abilities participate in our fun-filled drama classes and rehearsal sessions in Lewes and Hassocks. Drama Collective members become more confident in themselves and feel immense joy in their growth after each performance. Whether they stay with us for one season or for years (some of our members have been with our team for more than 5 years!), we lead with as much fun as possible – see for yourself in our production gallery.

Superstar bursary funder
We regularly receive enquiries from parents, mature students and individuals who wish to develop theatrical skills and are enthusiastic about the performing arts.
Our six terms run between school holidays set by local councils and members fees range start at £90 per term. From time to time, some members are unable to cover the term-time fee in full – so where possible, we dip into the bursary fund to subsidise the cost.
To help even more talented backstage and acting members be part of our fun-filled drama groups without financial anxiety, we welcome contributions to our bursaries pot. In return, we could add your logo in our production programme and on our website, as well as feature your business (or preferred message) via social media and thank you at our production.
Charitable fundraising supporter
As mentioned, we like to hold a raffle during the interval of our productions to raise money for our chosen charities (usually around £50). Over the years, we have been very fortunate to receive wonderful prize donations from local businesses in return for logo inclusion in our production programme, on our website and where possible on social media.
One way of exceeding our raffle fundraising target could be for your business to double the amount raised, or by increasing the funds raised by a percentage of your choosing. Not only would this boost the monies we raise through the gracious generosity of our audience members, but it would also boost your employee morale and public brand perception.
Once the total amount to be donated has been agreed upon between Lewes Drama Collective and your business as the fundraising partner, our team would complete the donation submission and obtain a certificate from the charity that includes both parties’ organisation names.
We would only be able to offer this opportunity to one business as a fundraising partner per production.
Alternatively (or in addition), we would welcome a prize donation to our raffle.

We hope that we have provided a variety of impactful suggestions to suit all budgets that offer meaningfully positive brand affirmation.
