Drawing inspiration from Daniel Defoe’s “Best Selling” novel, this lively rendition offered our audience a truly delightful blend of comedy, adventure, and heartwarming moments that captivated all ages.

The story opened with Robinson Crusoe, a spirited young adventurer whose heart is set on the thrill of the open sea, much to the dismay of his scholarly father Fritz and pompous older brother Dennis. As Robinson embarks on a daring voyage aboard the steadfast Black Pearl, audiences were taken on a rollercoaster of hilarious misadventures, heartwarming friendships, and unexpected romance. On behalf of the entire cast and crew, we are sincerely grateful to have welcomed a sold-out auditorium at the All Saints Centre in Lewes. This production would not have been possible without the dedication of our members and their wonderfully supportive families. With its witty humour, captivating performances, and silly musical moments, this modern take on a timeless classic left audiences with smiles on their faces and warmth in their hearts.

The talented young cast was made up from members of our Junior Drama Club and both Thursday and Saturday Youth Theatre Groups, who were all adorned in period costumes, brought the 305-year-old story to life under the guidance of award-winning and qualified theatre practitioners.
